The Darkest Night (True event experienced by the writer himself)

Before this i had never encountered a Spirit/Ghost and never want one..
This is the event that i had promised myself not to remind myself ever, but again at the same time i want people to learn something from their mistakes and stop being a non believer (as i was before this event, including some of my friends).

Intro :
Outta my all friends i will introduce to three, who have got a major role in this event.Amit Bhargav (AKA Amit/Sarthi), Abhijit (AKA Gandiv Dhari/Arjun), Pradip (AKA Bheesm/Pradeep) and Myself (AKA Sirjee/Panda/Mota/Hati/Mota Hati).

Plot :
So we were friends since more than 5 years..We went to attend our friend(Shurabh AKA Chaubey's) marriage to Balia (Some place in UP).It was 13th March, we attended his marriage. We had to head back on 14th, so we had a night to njoy the beauty of greenery around and have some drink at night. So we dropped Amit (Chotu) at bus station who had to comeback early to Bangalore so he can join Wipro early.

Then we started our evening walk, with lots of chit chats regarding our Mahabharat plot that we made among ourselves.Pradip was too excited being in Balia and was njoying his KF strong. Sarthi(Amit) just took his GRE exam and joined us for the marriage, so he had a lots of story about his experience in Mumbai.Sarthi and Gandiv Dhari were more into girls (Gadddhe pe baat).Pradip was boasting about this/that, girls (Specially Avanthi).I was the only one Smoking, so was bit quite and listening to their topics was having fun. They were sometimes making fun of me because, once i had proposed a girl i liked (Which i was ignoring but was not ashamed of).We went to the near by river that Chaubey mentioned, which was really soothing, the cold air in the dark night was making us feel high.We had some beer left with us and i had got my milds stock with me.We are sleeping and talking about everything from our last five years, they suddenly we found that its 11:30 in the night and the darkness was getting thicker but to our help it was kinda moonlight. Then suddenly Pradip brought up with the topic that Chaubey was mentioning other night, about the haunted field next to the small jungle kinda thing near to his village. He was saying its cursed and no one goes there at night. The truth was that i was kinda scared but was cool with friends around.Pradip suddenly started that i am too much scared at night and started boasting too much how he is not scared of anything. Then Abhijit and Sarthi joined him and decided that they want to go there and will have a beer each and come back.I was a bit reluctant at first but then said ok.

So we started along side the river and reached the paddy fields.Everything was looking sweet and so cool in moon light. We then see some trees which were dark but were not so much spread out.By seeing that pradip started laughing and said sala Chaubey isko jungle bol raha tha.I was njoying my smoke while Sarthi asked me a sip, i cursed him and said, sale sab pi jao. Then we all laughed and went ahead. After 5-10 mins we have almost crossed the trees and the same moment Pradip cracked a Rajni sir joke (You know why ghosts roam at night?? bcoz they are have taken a loan from Rajni sir and very much scared to come out in day).It was a PJ so we all cursed in friendly manner to Pradip, laughed and marched ahead.By that time it was around 1:30 AM.We could see a field and in the middle was separated by steel wires kinda boundary, it was not very comfortable to cross that.Pradip boasted about jumping over but we all refused, so we sat thr with our beers open (last one for that night).
We were talking about the myth Chaubey had told and were laughing. But i was scared in some part of my heart was sitting closer to Amit and was looking in far dark corners.Around 10 mins passed, then suddenly we saw some one in white saree from the other side of boundary, which we thought some person came to check his farm at night. But then we could only stand still, it came a bit closer. We could see it has no legs, then it suddenly turned(revolted) its head.We were scared and i was loose my grips, holding hands of Abhijit, m not sure what Pradip was doing as he was in front. Then we started screaming and ran toward the shadows of the trees and beyond them without stopping or looking behind i was falling behind but made up the ground after almost 5 mins and crossing the field, we came to village and the farm house that Chaubey had arranged for us.We were terrified and couldnt sleep that night though we had a security at the farm house. Then we left for each others native directly as planned. After reaching home i was not feeling well, could not even tell my parents about this. Then after 2-3 days i was caught with fever.I took medicine from my dad, but wasnt doing so well.My mom was a bit religous and a believer, so she took me to a Tantrik (works on spirit). He saw me first time and said you have been attacked by a Chudail (Spirit, Female ghost without legs).I was shocked to listen this and he gave me a tabiz, which my mom put around my arm. Then a week went over i was feeling good and my vacation was almost over.I met Abhijit at the Airport , both were from same state. So flew to Bangalore, he was not even lookin so good.Abhijit was very lean, he told me the same (But i was over 90 KG).We didnt discuss much on it.Then we reached Bangalore , Pradip was there to pick us.But the moment we met Pradip i felt he wasnt the same Pradip anymore. He wasnt that funny as before, neither was laughing on everything, was even talking very less.We could see some tabiz around his arms and necks. He certainly was a different person and was looking like a person who believed in something. That was not the end, we called Amit (Sarthi). But to our bad we could reach his phone bcoz of some network issues. We called him a lot of time everyday. But since that day we have never seen Amit Bhargav, neither in Facebook nor he replied our emails or picked our call.

After that we had got no strength to discuss that nights event.
The End.

Bridge Mystery (Short Story, Inspired by truevents)

"My friends and I heard a myth or ghost story that we didn't believe. It was about a couple that had been murdered awhile back. The story was that they were at the most popular necking spot and were killed! Well people say that you can drive by there at night and stop the car on the bridge over the old hangout spot. You are suppose to stop the car in the middle of the bridge, take the keys out and lay them on the floorboard and sit there in the darkness.

"Well I was driving and I pulled off, turned off the car and laid the keys in the floorboard. We all said, 'Whoever is getting in, get in.'

"At first, nothing happened so I started the car and drove away. About two seconds after I started the car, I felt cold when it was warm just a second ago. We looked in the empty back seat and there was an impression of someone sitting there.

"I got freaked out and quickly drove off the bridge. As soon as we got off the other side everything was normal, and to this day I still believe what happened was real and I will never do it again unless I have to prove someone wrong."

Do not ever Mock them!!

The Haunted Road!! (Inspired by true events)

SO you believe in Ghosts??

Rahul is a government officer and was living in a village in Orissa in India at that time with his family. His office was 12 or 14 kilometers away from his home and he used to travel by his bike. It was the month of March and you all know that it is a closing time of old financial year and starting of new financial year, so government officers have to work late nights to complete pending logs and files.

It was around 11.45 in the night when he came out of the office and it was raining heavily. Rahul always used to travel by highway but that day, he wanted to take a shortcut because it was raining and he wanted to reach home as soon as possible. That shortcut was a kind of haunted road but he thought that nothing will happen and these all are just rumors and nothing else. It was a chilling windy winter night and rain on top of that. The trees were shaking due to the force of wind and were making horrible noises. Rahul was frightened and started chanting Sri Hanuman Chalisa (an Indian holy song) and safely traveled some kilometers.

After traveling some more kilometers, he forgot that he was frightened and noticed that it is just about to be morning as darkness was getting off. He thought that now he is safe as it is going to be morning but suddenly he looked at his watch and noticed that it was 12.45 am. He said "Oh god how come it is 12.45 a.m. right now as I thought that daylight is just about to come".

Then he noticed that it was not going to be morning but it was moonlight that was confusing him with daylight and then he relaxed and sped up his bike. After approximately 10 minutes of driving, he noticed a lady on the right side of the road asking for a lift. At first, he thought that she is in real need and then suddenly something strike his mind and he again sped up his bike. Again after 5 minutes of driving, he saw the same lady asking for the lift. Rahul said "oh shit how come she is here she was around half a kilometer back. Rahul's body started shaking with fear and he just forgot about God and thought that this is something unusual. He again just sped up his bike, as he wanted to reach home as soon as possible before anything bad happens to him.

After sometime, again he noticed the same lady asking for the lift and this time, she screamed for help saying "PLEASE HELP ME". I am lost here. Please stop. She was wearing a red saree with heavy jewelry but Rahul did not stop and said that "I am going to die today". That lady started running with the bike at almost the same pace and starting saying please stop and take me with you. I wan to go home. Rahul was driving the bike at a speed of 60 to 70 km/hour at that time and was shivering like hell. Rahul sped up but it was not possible as there was some strong force from behind which was stopping him from racing his bike. The lady started laughing and crying at the same time and said "I died at the same road many years back and this is your time today". Her face changed from sweet and innocent to scary and weird. Rahul was so horrified that he started shivering but had not lost his consciousness. He just changed the last gear and moved his arm on the accelerator until the end. He never looked back to see her. She followed Rahul for another 2 kilometers or so and after that, he reached a place where some guards were sitting lighting up campfire. Rahul just stopped the bike in front of them and had some water from them. After having water, he told them what happened to him and they all said that "You have done a very good thing by not stopping the bike because if you would have stopped the bike, you would not have been alive by now." The oldest guard told the Rahul that "I am living over here for the last 10 years and in these 10 years, I have heard about more than 60 accidents of cars and bikes on that haunted road". He told Rahul that "God is with you that is why you are alive".

Rahul was so terrified after that he even was scared to go out of his house alone in dark..

I WAS HAPPY !!!

I WAS HAPPY !!!

Once upon a time, I was very happy.

My parents loved me so much. My mother had spent 7 years away from her husband just for my good schooling. My father toiled day in and day out to muster sufficient money for our living. But hey, no need to get emotional, ok! The story is not a sad one.

I too had never let them down; topping in every class, every exam. I kept myself away from the prettiest of faces; some of whom actually craved for me. I had to make it at any cost. And guess what, I did! I can still remember the hope in my mother’s eyes while she was seeing me off to give my JEE. Under immense pressure, I cracked it!!! And the family could see the dreams of a bright future ahead for the first time. I further provided the icing on the cake when I joined IIM Calcutta, though IIT Kharagpur had provided me a lucrative job. How nice, isn’t it. A dream come true for any bachelor.

I studied and studied and studies dragged me farther and farther away from all the glamour of a bachelor’s life. No girls, No beer, No masti.

But I was happy. I joined a big software firm with a plump salary package. My father was elated. I had raised his status in the society. He was flooded with marriage proposals. Some of them good, some irrefutable.

And guess what, I was engaged to a damsel. A drop dead gorgeous, highly educated and a very rich gal. What a story, isn’t it. But nothing is perfect. So what’s the twist??

One day changed it all.

Well you must be thinking that I am the typical IITian nerd, boring and sparkless. As a matter of fact I am not. That night, we were in a party in a disc known as the Enigma. Everyone was on a high, some with their wives while some with their girl friends. I must admit I felt slightly lonely. But suddenly a girl approached me, pretty, beautiful , gorgeous; oh forget it, SEXY!! She was a Russian, rich looking. We chatted, we drank (me for the first time) I told her that my marriage was 1 month ahead. Then slowly and gradually, I don’t know when, my desires got the better of me and next morning when I woke up besides her on the bed, I felt kinda bad. She quietly took out some money from my wallet and left. I was shocked, perturbed, horrified. Was she a commercial sex worker?? No she can’t be. But what if she is? All these questions kept bombarding my mind throughout the day and finally, I had to get over it.

I went to a clinic to get myself tested for HIV. The doctor asked me to come after 3 months for a simple HIV test costing Rs. 300 which required 3 months incubation period for the virus to be detected. “3 months!!! I’d die with anxiety by then. No doc! Do it quickly”, I said.
“Ok then…come after 1 month. I’d do another test but it’ll cost Rs. 2000”, replied the doc.
“Money doesn’t matter. Even 1 month is too large!”
The Doc then finally called me after 10 days to run a test costing Rs. 18000. I agreed.

The next 10 days were the longest days of my life. I couldn’t concentrate on my work, couldn’t talk to my parents properly and just kept praying to god to pardon this only mistake of mine.

Finally the day came. I went to the temple and then straight to the clinic. I didn’t feel this nervous even on the day of my JEE or CAT. Finally, the doc gave me the reports.

I was detected HIV positive. I stood rooted to the spot, couldn’t speak. The only thing I muttered, “This is not possible !”
The doc said, “Why? You had sex with an unknown girl without protection.”.
“But Doc, she was a Russian!”
“So what…HIV transcends all nationality? 85% of the sex workers in Mumbai are HIV +ve Don’t talk stupid”
“Hmm…so how much time do I have?” I spoke in a state of intense trauma.
“10 years...with exercise and proper diet, it can be extended up to 15-20 years”
“What about the anti-retroviral drugs available in the market??”
“The best ones cost 50000 rupees per month. The cheaper ones have terrible side effects...”

50000 a month was too costly for even me to afford.

“So, what should I do now...?”

“Nothing…tell only your parents about it. And yes, cancel your marriage! Ask your fiancĂ© that she must refuse to marry you. You’ll have to tell her.”

“I can’t tell my parents. They’ll die of shame. And the marriage can’t be cancelled either. All the cards have been distributed, hotel booked, every arrangement has been made. It’s just not possible to cancel it”

“Hmm….I see…Ok then, you’ll always have to use protection while sex. And of course, you’ll never be able to father a child”

One mistake and it was all over. Living with your death certificate in your hand is worse than death. And not being able to share it with anyone is as bad as it can get. My life was on lease. But should I tell my parents. Make their life miserable too. Not telling would kill me, telling would kill them. And what about that innocent girl? How can I play with her life for my selfishness? My parents on one had and to be wife on the other. Life became a hell. What should I do?? How can life be so cruel to me? What should I do!!

So where’s the twist in the story. Was this the climax or is there a happy ending.

Well, the real climax is that THE STORY IS A GENUINE TRUE STORY and currently I AM A MARRIED MAN!!!

But one thing is for sure.

Once upon a time I was very happy!!!

[I was told about this story by a doc in a first aid class recently. I was so touched that I wanted to convey this message to everyone I can. The story is actually TRUE. This is just a small attempt towards AIDS awareness from my side. Hope you would appreciate it]
